Persona Poem:

​

I am brave and passionate.

I live in Pakistan where girls are not as cherished as boys.

Although my dad is different, I wonder why girls are not treated the same.

I hear the whispers.

I see the Taliban's warnings.

I want an education.

I am as deserving as the boys.

I am brave, passionate, hardworking, and smart.

​

I question why they do not want us to learn.

I feel confused as to why they get to decide for me.

I taste the cardamom tea like my father when he talks politics with friends.

I worry that my blog will not be enough.

I excel in being a voice for others.

I understand that people are scared of the Taliban.

I am brave, passionate, hardworking, smart, inspirational, and an advocate.

I say girls should have the same level of education as boys.

I believe girls should have the same level of education as boys.

I dream that I will make a differences for others.

I try to advocate for the my peers and other women.

I hope one day it will make a difference. 

I was once quiet about my beliefs,

but now I share them for the world to see.

I am brave, passionate, hardworking, smart, inspirational, an advocate, hopeful, and excited for change.
